‘Powerful’ Evidence Presented in Death of Lawyer but Not Enough, Says Judge
In finding the defendants not guilty on all counts, D.C. Superior Court Judge Lynn Leibovitz said that, while prosecutors had provided “powerful” evidence suggesting that one of the three either stabbed Washington attorney Robert Wone or knows who did, the government failed to prove “beyond a reasonable doubt” that they intended to disrupt the investigation into Wone’s death.
