Jury awards exec $1.5M for sex bias

A federal jury has awarded $1,474,000 to Lisa Shipley, the former senior vice president and managing director for North America of Hypercom, concluding that Hypercom had intentionally discriminated against her by denying her the same compensation, benefits and professional opportunities afforded to her male colleagues.
