Circuit Reverses Kaplan on Global Chevron Injunction
Just three days after oral arguments, the 2nd Circuit has vacated federal district court Judge Lewis A. Kaplan’s preliminary injunction blocking worldwide enforcement of an $18 billion environmental judgment against Chevron in Ecuador, derailing a November trial on whether to make the injunction permanent.
