Four law firms have landed slots on Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list, the magazine announced Thursday. Alston & Bird; Bingham McCutchen; Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz; and Perkins Coie were ranked 24, 30, 54 and 58, respectively.
Motivated in part by recent tie-ups involving regional rivals, Kentucky-based Greenebaum Doll & McDonald and Indiana-based Bingham McHale have announced plans to join forces to create a 250-lawyer firm called Bingham Greenebaum Doll as of Jan. 2. Both firms’ partnerships have approved the merger.
